A lone squad of death metallers amid the bulletbelt thrashers of
1992's Jakarta metal scene, RITUAL DOOM were born outsiders, developing
their own unique sound and sophisticated songwriting.
Going on hiatus for just over a decade, from 1998 to 2009, they may
have returned with only one original member – guitarist Vivi – and to a
scene filled with new death metal bands, but if anything they remain
more distinct as a result.
Atmospheric and doomy old school deathsters, 2013 will see not only a
long overdue new album, but a performance at OBSCENE EXTREME to show
all those youngsters just how the old guard do it!!!
One of the longest running bands in the scene, venomous death metal
five-piece DELIRIUM TREMENS formed in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1995.
Playing a concrete-crushing brand of brutal death metal, their debut
"Psychodynamic Theory Of Sadistic Perversion" was years in the making –
only gaining a proper release in 2000 – but these heads-down brutalists
are more than making up for lost time, kicking off 2013 in ferocious
style at OBSCENE EXTREME.
They may be relative newcomers compared to some, but Jakarta,
Indonesia's REVENGE are as furious and tightly honed as some of the best
death metal bands in the business, and more than that - they have a
plan.
All lightning licks and rumbling blastbeats, they have fired out a
release a year since 2009, including their 2009 album
"Global.Suffering.Disease" on cult underground label Rottrevore and
2010's every more accomplished "Prelude To Omega" – the second part of
their carefully structured trilogy of albums.
With only a demo in 2012, you can be certain they've got something
very special planned for OBSCENE EXTREME 2013, as they come one step
closer to the completion of their vision!!!
Formed in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 2009, DEADLY WEAPON's early
triumph – opening for MISERY INDEX in 2010 – was undermined by an
equally early tragedy, with all but one member of the band leaving.
Rather than let this hold the band back, DEADLY WEAPON reloaded,
becoming a more focused hard-riffing, hard-grinding unit as a result,
touring Indonesia with Singapore's WORMROT and lining up their first
full-length album for Rottrevore.
Now this DEADLY WEAPON is aimed squarely at OBSCENE EXTREME, so prepare for war.
