Keresahan Dengan Drama di Ibukota Jadi Materi Mini Album Volstagg “Skema

Drama Ibukota”

Volstagg band asal Jakarta yang berdiri di era pandemi tahun 2021 dengan formasi Ardi

Ayam sebagai Vocalist (Ex Vocalist Thirteen), Boni sebagai Gitaris (Gitaris Tiger

Combat), dan Dan Eli sebagai Drummer (Programer OnceWeek dan Produser di Arunoia

Studio). Berawal dari pertemanan satu tongkrongan dan memiliki keresahan yang sama

dengan drama di Ibukota, akhirnya kami memutuskan untuk membentuk band sekaligus

membuat materi untuk mini album “Skema Drama Ibukota”.

Volstagg langsung merilis 4 lagu di dalam mini albumnya, “Si Paling Ahli”, “Varian

Milenial”, “Om dan Ani”, dan “Budak”. Masing–masing dari lagu yang dituangkan

didalam mini album “Skema Drama Ibukota” menceritakan tentang keresahan drama di

Ibukota dengan lirik yang casual dan balutan musik Rock. “Setiap hari kita liat berita, pasti

ada saja berita viral yang penuh drama, nah! drama-drama itu yang kita jadikan sebagai

materi EP kita.” Ujar sang vocalist.

Volstagg juga merilis video klip pertamanya yaitu “Varian Milenial”. Lagu ini dipilih

menjadi lagu jagoan di mini album Volstagg karena sangat relate dengan situasi anak

muda saat ini yang ingin mencapai kekayaan dengan serba instan sehingga lupa akan

konsekuensi yang akan terjadi. Kami menyebut mereka dengan sebutan Varian Milenial.

Volstagg mengajak beberapa musisi untuk ikut andil dalam Video Klip “Varian Milenial”

seperti Enau, Dhenaldi (Divide), Mekar Disko, Jodi (Ex Thirteen), Rudye (L.Y.O.N), Arief

(Rumah Sakit), Austin (Tiger Combat), dan masih banyak lagi.

Volstagg berharap bisa berbagi cerita melalui karyanya. Saat ini, mini album “Skema

Drama Ibukota” sudah dapat didengarkan di seluruh digital streaming platforms serta

video klip “Varian Milenial” sudah dapat ditonton di Youtube channel Volstagg. Semoga

karya-karya ini dapat dinikmati dan relate dengan seluruh penikmat musik dimanapun.

Single Perdana SVAR - Inshirah

Pandemi membuat semua orang hiatus masal dari berbagai kegiatan, sungguh situasi yang amat sangat

sulit bagi semua orang, tapi meratap bukanlah sebuah solusi bagi Will (Vokalis Trendkill Cowboys

Rebellion) dan Ughie (gitaris Trendkill Cowboys Rebellion, Last Blood). Berkarya adalah obat pandemi

paling ampuh untuk menjaga kita tetap waras. Berawal dari kesukaan sang gitaris terhadap musik metal

modern (Djent), diskusi menarik untuk membuat sebuah proyek musik yang berbeda dengan warna musik

band sebelumnya yaitu Trendkill Cowboys Rebellion. Setelah sepakat membuat proyek ambisius ini,

maka bergabunglah Avip (Bass) yang dulu menjadi pemain bass Godzilla dan Uchen (Drum) yang juga

bermain untuk unit Death Metal Jakarta Timur “Stigmatis”

Nama SVAR (dibaca : suar) diambil dari bahasa sanskrit “Svarga Loka” yang artinya tempat yang

bercahaya atau surga dalam literatur agama Hindu. Dalam kamus besar bahasa Indonesia berarti nyala

api atau pelita.

Secara materi, SVAR mengusung musik metal modern, Kami amat sangat tidak pandai

mengklasifikasikan sebuah genre musik jadi silahkan memberikan penilaian masing-masing atas karya

perdana ini. Semua materi single ini dikerjakan secara D.I.Y dengan proses home recording karena

keterbatasan waktu untuk bertemu. Semua arransement dikerjakan oleh Ughie dan Avip dan kemudian

disempurnakan melalui proses jamming.

Ishirah sendiri merupakan hasil intepretasi surat ke 94 dalam Al Quran “Al-Insyirah” yang berarti

“Kelapangan”. arti secara general dalam surat tersebut adalah sebagai manusia beragama, hanya kepada

Tuhan lah kita menggantungkan hidup walau dalam kondisi sulit sekalipun. Namun dalam konteks lirik

dalam single Inshirah ini, terdapat juga kutipan dari Weda “Ekam Sat Viprah Bahuda Vadanti” yang artinya

“Tuhan adalah satu, orang-orang yang bijaksana menyebutkan dengan banyak nama”. Bukan bermaksud

mencampur adukkan setiap ajaran agama, namun bagi kami para seniman menganggap semua cipta,

karsa dan rasa kita sebagai manusia terlepas dari background keyakinan yang berbeda, justru tidak bisa

lepas dari konteks Tuhan itu sendiri. Tidak menutup kemungkinan di rilisan selanjutnya kami menyadur

penuh banyak potongan dari “Doa Bapa Kami” atau ayat-ayat dari kelompok Zoroaster. Bagi SVAR, agama

adalah hal yang bebas diakses oleh semua orang untuk dipelajari, dipahami dan dibahas dalam ruang

publik.

Inshirah dibuat dengan tempo 120 bpm. Kami tidak suka musik metal yang cenderung melambat, riff

gitar dibuat sangat groovy dan agresif serta line bass yang terkesan independent dalam membalut

keseluruhan lagu. Inshirah di mixing - mastering oleh Sdr. Lukman dari Bulls Record Studio, orang yang

biasa mengerjakan proyek-proyek Trendkill Cowboys Rebellion, Superglad dll. Untuk artwork Inshirah

dikerjakan oleh seniman artwork asal kota Cilacap, KatingArt yang juga sering membuat konten artwork

banyak band salah satunya Gugun Blues Shelter. Inshirah didistribusikan secara digital melalui kanal

musik streaming melalui Ares Music, salah satu representative Believe Music di Indonesia.

SVAR berharap, single “Inshirah” bisa diterima oleh para penggemar musik keras tanah air sebagai

alternatif playlist dalam warna yang baru dan meramaikan industri musik yang semakin menggelora.

APNEA releases video for the song "The Child"

The song is part of the debut album 'Sea Sound' released last month

During the period of quarantine due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the rehearsals were productive and helped APNEA to improve its compositions and develop its style. After months of work, the band releases the long-awaited debut album. 'Sea Sound' is now available on all digital platforms. Today, they released the music video for the track "The Child", with production and direction by bassist Gabriel Imakawa, who created an intimate and home video to express the energy that the song conveys. The video is now available on the band's official YouTube channel and can be seen below.   With a proposal to present a sound influenced by the music of the 70s and 90s, mixing grunge, heavy metal and stoner rock, the band APNEA built its sound with influences that go through A.S.G., Fumanchu, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Cave In, until Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. The album 'Sea Sound' brings a unique mix of sounds, making APNEA achieve originality and personality within traditional elements of the aforementioned decades.   Formed by experienced musicians with projection and an extensive national and international career – members of the bands RATOS DE PORÃO, GARAGE FUZZ and BAYSIDE KINGS -, the quartet is considered a supergroup with local hero status in Brazil.   The recording was made again at Electric Sound Studios with production by André Freitas.Mastering was done by renowned producer Fernando Sanches at the traditional El Rocha studio, an absolute reference in mastering and production by the main names in Brazilian music. Cover art is by artist/tattoo artist Daniel Toledo, Brazilian tattoo icon and one of the main designers of the MCD brand.   The booklet features photos by photographer Jair Bortoleto, one of the great names in Brazilian photography, known for his work with landscape and surf photos, having his work published in the traditional magazines National Geographic, Surfer's Journal, Ocean-ans and Drift, and with solo exhibitions in several Brazilian states, the USA (NY and CA) and Italy.   To complete the release of the album, the band recorded a video clip and produced lyric vide them aiming at a set of actions to promote the work, doing shows and tours wherever possible with a focus on building an international career like the previous works of their members, believing that it is essential to make the release of the album have distribution in different countries and continents to achieve their goals. Apnea - The Child (OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO)

Formed in 2019 in Santos, city of São Paulo - birthplace of great names in the national underground -, APNEA arises when Mauricio Boka invites Marcus Vinicius to show the ideas he had in his head for a long time and test the construction of a style and a sound identity. After a few jams, guitarist Nando Zambeli is recruited, and the musical language begins to define itself more clearly. Bassist Gabriel Imakawa arrives to complete the quartet that began to rehearse frequently, composing and improving the band's style.   In August 2020, APNEA entered the studio to record their first songs, which were released in 2021 on the EP ‘Salt Water’. The material was recorded in Santos at Electro Sound Studio, a studio commanded by Marcão Britto (ex-Charlie Brown Jr). The production, mixing and mastering is signed by André Freitas.

One of the most consecrated bands of Brazilian metal, TORTURE SQUAD, prepares to release the new work, the live album 'Tortura en La Iglesia En Vivo'. As a preview, the band shares the first single and music video, from the song “Horror and Torture” (Live at La Iglesia). This is a song that since its release has been among Torture Squad's classics. This music video synthesizes the energy of the headbangers present on July 16, 2022, where the band performed in a sold-out night at La Iglesia, in São Paulo, one of the largest metropolises in the world, and the entire recorded show gave rise to to the new live album. Torture Squad is seen by extreme music fans as one of the most visceral and powerful metal bands in action today. With almost three decades of performance, with excellent live performances including in the most important metal festivals in the world, the Brazilian group gathered legions of fans playing all over the country, Latin America and Europe. In 2019, while preparing the new album, Torture Squad arrived at one of the biggest music festivals in the world, the Brazilian Rock in Rio, where they performed for an audience of 120,000 people. In a cast filled with metal legends such as Anthrax, Slayer, Sepultura, Scorpions and Iron Maiden, the show was epic alongside Chuck Billy (Testament) and Brazilians Claustrofobia on the Sunset stage, with the set covering songs from their entire career. Torture Squad and Testament Classics.
