Siaran pers single ‘As I Am’

Satu lagi gerombolan dari unit hardcore asal kota bandung muncul kepermukaan. Nothing Fall Bisa dibilang band baru rasa lama karena berisi pemain yang sebenarnya sudah cukup lama berkecimpung di dunia musik Indie kota Bandung. Dengan line up Rana Costa (Ragajimesin), Dhoni Demonk (Ragajimesin) . Gerry Mad Dog (Morbid/Ex Ragajimesin), Adhy Sickness (Mental Disorder) dan Lingga Gumilar (Mariberkebun/Disco Ethnic)  ini mengusung Hardcore ke arah Old School tapi tetap dinamis tidak terlalu konservative. Tanpa mengurangi rasa hormat mereka terhadap band mereka sebelum nya, pada akhir 2016 mereka sepakat menyegarkan diri dalam bermusik dengan membentuk “Nothing Fall” dan tanpa banyak basa basi mereka langsung menggarap single perdana mereka yang akan rilis di bulan Maret 2017 ini, dengan proses kreatif yang singkat itu tanpa menyampingkan kualitas, single 'As I Am' resmi di tahbiskan sebagai single perdana mereka.

Seperti sudah menjadi kultur tersendiri jika musik Hardcore selalu mengusung tema kebanggaan identitas diri dan kelompok, perlawanan tanpa henti dan juga soal kehidupan sosial, As I Am pun menceritakan tentang bagaimana untuk tetap beradaptasi ditengah arus perubahan yang sangat cepat tanpa merubah karakter diri sendiri dan tetap untuk saling menghormati di area masing-masing. “Kami ingin menggambarkan bahwa kita bisa hidup berdampingan walaupun berbeda ideologi dan idealisme dalam merespon tantangan hidup dengan memegang teguh kata ‘respect’”.

KOMPILASI LEGENDARIS “INJAK BALIK!” RILIS ULANG DALAM FORMAT KASET

Sebagai label spesialis rekaman pita, Zim Zum Entertainment (berkolaborasi dengan 2 label lokal: Metalgodz & R.A.S.P) merilis ulang kompilasi legendaris Injak Balik! dalam format kaset untuk pertamakalinya. Reissue ini digarap sebagai perayaan 20 tahun rekaman sekaligus mengenang kembali pergerakan punk/hardcore ‘90-an di tanah air (khususnya Bandung).

Aslinya Injak Balik! dirilis dalam format piringan hitam ukuran 7 inchi oleh label TAM89. Sebuah label asal Perancis yang memiliki visi untuk memperkenalkan skena punk/hardcore dari belahan dunia dalam format vinil. Kompilasi ini memuat 9 ben lawas yang seluruhnya berasal dari Bandung, a.l.: Puppen, Jeruji, Savor of Filth, Turtles Jr., Deadly Ground, Runtah, Closeminded, Piece of Cake, All Stupid.

Dalam sampul album kami juga memuat wawancara dengan Lük (pemilik label TAM89). Kebetulan, saat penggarapan rilisan ini beliau sedang berdomisili di Jakarta karena alasan pekerjaan. Sehingga wawancara tersebut membuat versi kaset ini semakin informatif ketimbang rilisan ulang belaka pada kebanyakan. Transformasi fisik ini juga menjadi alternatif bagi penikmat rekaman analog di Indonesia. Mengingat harga rilisan otentiknya sekarang hanya mampu diraih oleh kalangan mapan. (baca: mahal pisan!)

Kaset Injak Balik! mulai beredar pada acara Festival Kaset Bandung (FKB) yang berlangsung selama dua hari (2 & 3 September 2017) di Gedung YPK, Bandung. Tak jauh berbeda dengan konsep Record Store Day / Cassette Store Day di dunia, FKB merupakan hajatan tahunan yang diperuntukkan kaum pecinta rekaman fisik, khususnya kaset. Di sana nantinya akan ada pameran, hearing session, diskusi, lelang, dan tentunya sale besar-besaran bagi kolektor mania.

Selain Injak Balik!, Zim Zum juga merilis rekaman live/reuni terakhir dari D.S.-13—sebuah ben thrashcore legendaris asal Swedia yang cukup berpengaruh pada ben-ben hardcore/punk di dunia, termasuk Indonesia. Masih dikemas dalam bentuk kaset, yang mana aslinya berformat piringan hitam 12 inchi rilisan label asal Amerika Serikat, Rotten To The Core Records.

Di skena ini kami dibesarkan dengan kaset. Dan sampai kapanpun kami akan tetap mencintai kaset. Long live tape!!!

Blisterhead

Blisterhead has probably been touring since you attended kindergarden. Almost 20 years of that rock'n roll soaked punkrock with three-part vocals that made the band a name in every squat in Europe. From Stockholm to Neapel, Paris to St.Petersbourg. Making headlines with bombs in Russia, catchy videos on MTV and their anthem of an encore, The sound of unity. Guitar riffs from 1977, bass lines from 1957, and still, after more than 300 shows with countless opening acts and headlines, the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world when it comes to punk drums. 

Their new EP Border Control was recorded live in The Panic Room Studio together with Thomas "Plec" Johansson. A little faster and a little more room for the human factor makes this album Blisterheads best contribution to the punkrock made famous by the likes of The Clash and Rancid. The EP raises a lot of questions about our current situation for refugees in Europe and how inhuman our politics towards them has become. A relevant subject now as much as ever. The vinyl issue is distributed by Dead Lamb Records (Ireland), Dirty Old Man Records (England), Rock Em Dead Records (England) and Punkebjartes Punkeplattor (Norge). Cramada is handling the digital release thru Sound Pollution Distribution, Phonofile (Nordic countries) and The Orchard (worldwide).
